Field Journal · Final Form

Against the Current

The closing readings are in. The journal stays open.

Against the Current has finished its run as our current Vibing Now feature. This Field Journal brings the existing readings together, from the opening episodes through the closing chapters.

Read in episode order, revisit a piece after catching up, or stop at the last episode you’ve watched. Each entry has its own spoiler boundary.

The two closing readings form our Final Form—the close of this run, not a promise that we’ve said everything there is to say.

Choose your reading

Return at your own pace.

Start with the last episode you’ve finished, not the platform you use. The existing entries appear here in episode order, at their original addresses, with their dates, images and individual spoiler boundaries unchanged.

WeTV Express, VIP, free viewing, and Viki do not necessarily put everyone at the same point in the story. Choose by your own last episode watched.

Read after finishing the named endpoint—or choose to read ahead knowing that the article contains spoilers through that episode. No later plot details appear in the reading labels below.

Final Form

The closing readings

When you’re ready for the final stretch:

These remain two separate readings, not a new combined essay.

The journal stays open.

The close of the current spotlight does not close the thinking. Future writing and the developing Lin Jinqi pack remain open; neither blocks this transition.
